Lost Highway 1 - San Antonio Rd East This Ride is on Leg 2 of the Lost Highway 1 Route

The San Antonio Rd East is a little 4 miler from Hwy 1 to Hwy 135. While it does go through some great scenery it's not much of a ride on it's own and the road conditions dictates easy cruising. However, this makes a great connector route for the Harris Grade Rd and Black Rd routes providing a great detour on Hwy 1, Leg 2.

San Antonio Rd (east). Heading North on Hwy 1, make a right on San Antonio Rd East. Heading North on Hwy 135 (from Harris Grade), make a left at the Vandenberg AFB sign (there is no clear San Antonio Rd marking from Hwy 135).

This is the typical road and traffic (almost non-existent) condition.

Some very interesting landscape.

As you can see some of the road is in less than desirable condition, but for a short connector it's not a problem. Sit back, take it slow and enjoy the scenery.

Farmland is all about...

Highway 135. From here you can go: Right on Hwy 135 and continue to Los Alamos / Hwy 101. Right on 135, then right again on Harris Grade and Back to Hwy 1. Left on 135 and back to Hwy 1.
