Goto SBC-Rides.com Home Page Hwy 150 , Hwy 192 - Gobernador Canyon Rd.

Gobernador Canyon Rd is a short, 2.7 mile ride that connects Hwy 192 and Hwy 150. While it is short, it is well worth it and will be enjoyed by riders of all types. It is practically unknown and if your a local SB Rider it can break the regular routine of Hwy 192 to Hwy 150. The road is well maintained and traffic is very light, although on the weekends you will find some bicyclists (they do know about this one) so keep a watchful eye out for them.

One other thing to watch for is avocados on the road. This section is loaded with avocado orchards whose branches often overhang the road, it's not uncommon to see an avocado or two on the roadway.

Gobernador Canyon Road connects Hwy 192 and Hwy 150. The road is not well marked and you need to keep an eye open for it.

Entrance from the Hwy 150 exit. Head straight up and enjoy!

I just love these tree lined straightaways.

Some wide sweepers....

Ranches and Farms dot the countryside. I'm parked next to an equestrian horse ranch with some very well maintained greens.

Down a little further the road turns into a single lane for 1/2 a mile or so.

Oh yea! Some great twisties on this one!

Back to the 2 lane with some very nice sweeping corners.

That's it! A nice little 2.7 mile ride to connect Hwy 150 and Hwy 192.
